OPEN SESSION

  1. Call to Order.
  2. Pledge of Allegiance.
  3. Roll Call.

    [Members of the Public will be invited to provide testimony before or during consideration of each agenda item. Speakers are asked to limit their testimony to three (3) minutes.]

 

CONSENT ITEMS

  1. Approval of minutes from May 6, 2005 ICOC meeting.
 

REGULAR ITEMS

  1. Consideration of adoption of NAS Medical and Ethical Standards as CIRM Interim Standards.
  2. Chairman’s Report.
  3. Consideration of Federal legislation – HR 810 (Castle/DeGette) and S 471 (Specter/Harkin); HR 1822 (Bono) and S 876 (Hatch/Feinstein); HR 1357 (Weldon) and S 658 (Brownback)
  4. Consideration of State legislation – ACR 1 (Negrete McCleod); ACR 24 (Mullin); SB 18 (Ortiz/Runner); SCA 13 (Ortiz/Runner)
  5. President’s Report. (Scheduled break – 10 minutes)
  6. Consideration of Conflict of Interest Policy for Facilities Working Group.
 

CLOSED SESSION

To be started during lunch (estimated time is 3 hours)

  1.  
    1. Pending Litigation: People’s Advocate v. Independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee, Alameda County Superior Court, Case No. HG05206766 (Government Code section 11126, subdivision (e)).
    2. Personnel: Search for President of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (Government Code section 11126, subdivision (a); Health & Safety Code section 125290.30(d)(3)(D)).
 

OPEN SESSION

  1. Public report of any action taken, if necessary, during closed session.
  2. Consideration of Standards Working Group members’ ability to apply for CIRM grants and direction to Subcommittee on alternates.
  3. Presentation on Per Diem and Travel Policies by Walter Barnes.
(Scheduled break – 10 minutes)
  1. Consideration of Status report from Facilities Working Group Subcommittee.
  2. Public comment. The Committee will accept public testimony on any matter under its jurisdiction that is not on the agenda, but the Committee cannot act on any such matter at this meeting.
  3. Adjournment.
