The objective of this project was to file an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for a clinical trial using embryonic stem cell-derived neural stem cells to treat patients with Huntington’s disease. The IND was approved and the UC Irvine committees for human studies have approved the clinical trial to be performed at UC Irvine. With funding provided by a CIRM CLIN2 the study is now open to enrollment.
