Spotlight on Arthritis: Seminar by Mark Genovese, M.D.
Mark Genovese, M.D., spoke at the “Spotlight on Arthritis,” an educational event presented at the CIRM Governing Board meeting on January 30, 2009. Genovese defined the different types of arthritis and described current arthritis therapies as well as promising stem cell based therapeutic strategies. Genovese is a professor of medicine, specializing in immunology and rheumatology, at the Stanford University Medical Center.
Dr. Genovese was introduced by Phillip Pizzo, M.D. Dr. Pizzo is dean of Stanford University’s School of Medicine and is a member of the Board.
The CIRM-hosted event was presented in Burlingame, California in partnership with Stanford University.
