Application Title:

Laboratory for Cell and Gene Medicine: A partner in the California Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturing Network

Public Abstract:
The Stanford LCGM supports process development and manufacturing for investigator initiated and select industry partner clinical trials. The objective of our proposal is to complete our project plan and enhance the LCGM value proposition positioning us competitively for the phase two funding period.
Statement of Benefit to California:
A major roadblock in stem cell therapies is confirming efficacy in patients. As a member of the California Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturing Network, the Stanford LCGM will: 1. offer a Northern California manufacturing hub producing transformative drug products that enable investigator-initiated stem cell trials, and 2. allow expanded access to Network trials. This program will benefit Californians, and the state of California by helping maintain its leadership position in stem cell therapies.
