The objective of this project is to prepare and execute a scientific conference that will bring together experts from various disciplines including biology, physics, engineering, and medicine to share their knowledge and experience across disciplines in the application of ultrasound for biomedical and stem cell related research.
Attendees will hear from keynote speakers, attend workshops, symposia, and poster sessions. The conference all also serve as a platform for networking and collaboration.
A number of topics of specific interest to CIRM, such as cell-based cancer immunotherapy, stem cell engineering on the eye implant, ultrasound-facilitated drug delivery, and imaging, will be covered.
The conference's goals, which include sharing research findings, promoting collaborations among institutions, and driving new research and clinical advancements, align with the aims of CIRM's mission by supporting medical ultrasound imaging research applicable to stem cell and genetic therapies.
