This study examines resuscitative thoracotomy (RT) performance for patients in traumatic arrest. The authors conclude, after a clinical outcomes analysis, that RT may be feasible during global pandemics at prepandemic frequencies as long as particular attention is paid to resource expenditure with regard to blood product supply.
