Latent diffusion augmentation enhances deep learning analysis of neuro-morphology in limbal stem cell deficiency.

To improve the diagnosis of limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD), a blinding corneal disease characterized by the loss of function or deficiency in the stem cell population, the present research aims to develop an automated system to characterize the nerves that are present in the cornea that are also affected in the disease. This approach will improve the diagnosis of the disease and reduce the amount of time and training that manual quantification requires.
