On March 10, 2011, Jeanette Owens spoke about living with peripheral arterial disease and about her hopes for stem cell treatments.

Owens was introduced by Claire Pomeroy, M.D., M.B.A., vice chancellor for Human Health Sciences at UC Davis and dean of the UC Davis School of Medicine. Pomeroy is also a member of the CIRM Governing Board.
