Andrew Moreno – High School Stem Cell Research Intern – Summer 2013

Visit our Through Their Lens page for photos and more videos from students and grantees.

Andrew Moreno is a California Academy of Mathematics and Science student who is doing a stem cell research internship this summer in the laboratory of Jill Helms at Stanford University. His internship is funded by California’s Stem Cell Agency (CIRM) through the CIRM Creativity Awards grant.

This year, we decided to let the students tell their own stories about life in the lab and their hopes for the future. During the course of their internships, we’ve asked them to submit YouTube videos about their experience. “This clip shows me weighing reagents for Xgal staining while I discuss some of the results I’ve gathered this summer.” – says Andrew.
