Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle, California State Stem Cell Agency Board Chair to Sign Stem Cell Declaration of Cooperation

WHAT:
Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle and the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, the state stem cell agency, tomorrow will sign a Declaration of Cooperation in Stem Cell Research. The agreement, which is between the State of Wisconsin through the University of Wisconsin-Madison and CIRM, represents the first step in setting up research collaborations between Wisconsin—where human embryonic stem cells were first isolated—and the state that has become the leading funder of human embryonic stem cell research. The signing will take place during the International Society for Stem Cell Research’s 8th annual meeting.
