CIRM July Digest
On July 31st, the FDA gave Geron permission to proceed with their spinal cord injury clinical trial which is based on work by CIRM grantee Hans Kierstead at UC Irvine. The multi-center phase I trial will be the world's first trial of a therapy based on embryonic stem cells.
Recent Partnerships
In July, CIRM announced a partnership with WikiPathways, a specialized wiki of biological processes which provides a means to integrate new and upgraded content contributed by the research community.
