Stem Cell Instrumentation Foundry
CIRM's major facilities program created research space uniquely designed to accelerate stem cell research toward new therapies in the state. The program leveraged private donations and institutional funds worth four times the original investment. It also is estimaged to have created 13,000 job years and $100 million in tax revenues for the state at a time when they were critically needed.
