Robert Klein and Alan Trounson Comment on External Review

We are pleased to receive the External Review Report from the eight independent reviewers and are grateful for the time and energy they put into this. This is a very complimentary report that recognizes CIRM’s role in accelerating research in stem cell biology and medicine; yet it makes thoughtful and challenging recommendations for CIRM becoming an even more effective organization going forward. We look forward to reviewing these recommendations over the next few months. The recommendations will be presented at the Governing Board’s December 8th public meeting by the External Review Panel’s Reporting Chair, Dr. Richard Klausner.
